A timeless and contemporary coastal retreat

Our client transformed their 1960’s beach cabin into a cozy, liveable home and asked us to assist with the design of their joinery. 

The layout of the kitchen space was - due to the layout of the original cabin - small with a few tricky corners. While designing this space, we were tasked to maximize storage without compromising counter space, a real challenge considering the size of the space!

Solution

Our goal was to create an illusion of a spacious kitchen by blending a contemporary aesthetic with warm features and texture. We achieved this by using a subway tile and introducing subtle oak features in the kitchen.
